Need assistance with legal fees due to pending eviction. Legal fees are adding up daily and im unable to pay them in a timely manner without more fees being tacked on. Leasing will not take rental payment without the legal fees being paid as well. Im stuck and need assistance.
Last month i was brutally assaulted in a parking lot. It was a random attack and i was hit from behind by mulitple people. In the attack i suffered a right orbital fracture, mild concussion, multiple lacerations above and below my right eye, extreme brusing swelling and temporary blindess in my eye. Becuase of the attack, i missed over a week of work to recover, as well as a few more days dealing with medical appointments and interviews with the detectives. This assault caused me to fall behind in rent and a eviction case opened up against me. Although i explained my situation to my leasing/landlord they were unsympathetic and refused to accept the past due rental amount unless the late fees and legal fees were attached as well. Ive made numerous attempts to pay the past due rent and offer a payment plan and options in regards to the legal fees however they will not take rent payment without the legal /court fees added in. I do not have any more available income to cover those extreme fees that go up daily. Im desperate and out of options.
