Lost my job due to me having surgery, car payments fell behind because I wasn't eligible for payments from supplemental insurance. And only receiving disability payments to pay bills.
I am a single mother who just recovered from a Thyroidectomy. During this time I lost my job and was only eligible for unemployment for 11 weeks. I am a 60% disabled Veteran and due to my disability I'm able to work as long as I'm not standing for long periods of time. I have applied for several administrative jobs just haven't been hired. I also have a disability claim processing because my surgery was performed due to a service connection disability. For two months my car has been in the shop and my warranty only covered a portion so I had to pay out of pocket the rest. Yet along cover the household build like rent, utilities, household supplies, gas, food, etc. My payments fell behind due to my job loss and trying to manage which bills to take care of first. I just need assistance to prevent my car from being repossessed because its the only transportation I have to get my kids to school and myself back and forward to doctors appointment. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank

Not all Heroes needing assistance are able to be matched successfully with a specific non-profit partner. In these instances the Coordinated Assistance Network allows Heroes to self post their request on the isupportveterans.org platform so that private donations can be collected for their specific need.
